2200 Double End Machining Center

The 2200 Series Double End is the flagship model of the Jenkins Machinery line. It has a robust design to maintain accuracy despite its necessarily large size. The 2200 can be configured for any DET application with a wide array of options available to fully customize the machine for your needs. You can count on high-performance Jenkins machinery to provide the speed and accuracy you require.

Features

Heavy-Duty Steel Base

The 2200 utilizes rigid high-strength welded tool stands each moving on its own set of dual linear bearings mounted on a heavy-duty welded and machined steel frame.

Shaftless Feed Drive

The artful process of mechanically raking the feed chain system is not a problem with a shaftless feed drive. Access to automated squaring of the chain is provided on screen, executed with precise servo control. Both chains are computer monitored and electronically synchronized for accurate adjustments. The shaftless feed drive system allows for accelerated traversing without binding on the drive key, which decreases setup times. High-speed beam traverses at a rate of up to 6” per second, minimizing set up time for short runs. Ultimately, this is speed and efficiency that no machine with a traditional drive shaft can match.

Custom Configurations

The 2200 has limitless configuration possibilities. Some station choices are uppers, lowers, copes and sanders for trimming, tenoning, gaining, coping, raising, sanding, arching, mortising and more. There are a variety of available motor options, ranging from arbor motors to collet spindles and quick-change spindles to belted spindle units. Whatever the DET application, the 2200 can do it.

Modular Design

The 2200 permits open stations to be utilized in the future as seamlessly as possible. This eliminates purchasing of unneeded stations or automation until required. Upgrades from manual and semi-automated applications to full CNC positioning can be added or modified on site.

Full Ball Bearing Linear Motion

No bronze wear parts that cause machine alignment issues as they wear.

Touch Screen Graphical Interface

Operator friendly software reduces operator training time and set-up changeover time, while ensuring setup accuracy. Maintenance monitoring, diagnostic reporting, trouble-shooting, online manual, production recording, part setup design and customized application software are all typically included.

Options

Auto-Dogs

Touch screen control of dog center configurations (dogs up/dogs down)

Automatic Tool Changer

Possibilities from a simple 2-stack exchanger to 100-stack robotically controlled system to eliminate operator handling of tools are available.

Powered Holddown

Driven holddown runs at ±5% of the chain speed for friction feeding, dog feeding and feeding behind the dogs.

Hopper and Return Systems

Maximizes machine output while permitting single person operation.

Automatic Lubrication

Fully customizable lubrication intervals make certain that all the bearings and ballnuts have adequate lubrication.

Machine Enclosures

Increase machine safety and reduce noise and airborne dust with this machine option.

Product Transfers

Combine a pair of 2200 series machines with a transfer to create the ultimate 2-pass system.

Barcode Scanner

Automate your machine setup with a bar code scanner. This eliminates operator error and speeds the start of the setup process.
